About the program:
Oregon Naturalist Rebecca Lexa is the author of The Everyday Naturalist: How to Identify Animals, Plants, and Fungi Wherever You Go (Ten Speed Press, 2025). “Five Reasons to be an Everyday Naturalist” outlines some of the highlights of getting to know your nature neighbors by name, from having a deeper understanding of what living beings are in your neighborhood to being a better steward to Northwest nature. Audience participation is encouraged during interactive portions of the talk, and questions are welcome!
